During
the 29th National Convention of Nepal Jaycees,
held on 2002, hosted by Kavre Jaycees, Lubhu
Jaycees was proposed as a new chapter, sponsored
by Godawari Jaycees. During the affiliation,
Jc. Vijaya Govinda Shrestha, as a Chief Delegate,
had represented Lubhu Jaycees. The General
Assembly of Kavre National Convention unanimously
ratified Lubhu Jaycees as the new chapter.
Since then Lubhu Jaycees is affiliated to
Nepal Jaycees & Junior Chamber International.
On 9th January 2004, under the Chairpersonship
of JCI VP 2004 Sen. Rajendra Ram Shrestha,
1st Installation Ceremony of Lubhu Jaycees
was celebrated. In that ceremony, the Presidential
Chain was handed over to 1st President of
Lubhu Jaycees Jc. Kichah Chitrakar. This new
milestone of Jaycees movement is heading ahead
for its long lasting journey. The milestones
of Lubhu Jaycees are Jc. Lok Raj Singh for
the year 2005, Jc. Vijaya Govinda Shrestha
for the year 2006 & recently Jc. Bhooshan
Sharma for the year 2007. At present, Lubhu
Jaycees has more than thirty active, dynamic
& enthusiastic members.
Geographically, its secretariat is situated
at Lubhu VDC. Lubhu is a beautiful village,
situated about 5km towards S45ºE from
Lalitpur Sub-metropolitan City.
Lubhu Jaycees generally focuses its community-based
programs at VDCs like Lubhu, Lamatar, Siddhipur,
Harisiddhi, Imadole, Tikathali, though it
can do its projects at any part of the country
it required. Nepali young people of age between
18-40 years staying at any part of the world
can join the Lubhu Jaycees.
